Join us on an Orvis-Hosted Trip. We’ve taken our favorite sweater fleece vest and added a wind-blocking liner to keep you warm no matter how blustery the weather. We love the look of this vest with contrast lining and thoughtful zip pockets, an essential layer for any angler or outdoor lover. Read the reviews of fellow shoppers or write your own. Orvis men’s clothes are cut generously to accommodate an active country lifestyle.
We field-test all of them on associates, and we take into consideration how the clothing will be worn. For example, when we fit men’s outerwear, we always size it with the appropriate layers beneath. That means you do not need to order a size up for a comfortable fit. Not sure what size to order? Customer Service experts at 888-235-9763.
They will be happy to give you the actual garment measurements for any item we sell. Most Orvis pants are available custom hemmed to your inseam length. In addition, many of our pants can be plain finished or cuffed. Plain finished hems are cut for length, then folded under, creased, and sewn. Simply specify your preference when ordering.
About 2″ trimmer in chest. Find your hat size easily! If your measurement is between two hat sizes, order the larger size. Your hat should fit securely, but not tightly—if you shake your head back and forth vigorously, the hat should stay put. The same goes for bending forward: if you bend down, your hat shouldn’t slip off. Make sure, though, that your hat doesn’t bind or pinch.
If it does, we recommend you exchange it for the next larger size. For Patagonia sizing, please refer to the Patagonia Shoe Size Chart, available on every Patagonia shoe and boot page. In all instances, hold tape firm and level, but not tight. Follow around head staying 1″ above the ear. This will give your most accurate reading. Then refer to the chart for size.
Wrap tape around to the base of your front neck and allow room for wearing comfort. OR measure the collar length of a favorite shirt. From the center back of your neck with your arm slightly bent, follow the tape around to your wrist bone. Wrap a tape measure evenly around the fullest part under your arms. Wrap tape around your natural waistline, or where you actually wear your pants. Don’t forget to keep the tape level. Best taken from an existing pair of pants you like.
